Connie is an Interior Designer; she has studied at Concordia and ASU. After working several years in the office supply and furniture industry, she took the leap to pursue an interior design degree from Phoenix College. Design being a second career, Connie found by combining her years of experience in office furniture with new skills in space planning to be natural fit. Her projects in commercial design included a variety of offices for physicians, law firms, resorts, a minor league professional hockey team, car dealerships to the standardizing interiors for branches of an AZ title company. Not long after, residential design became part of her project portfolio that included projects in the Phoenix area as well as Tucson, Fresno, Kansas City and Denver. As passion for the field grew, Connie chose to share her experience within the education community, teaching students who also had an interest in pursuing their own career in interior design field. She taught a variety of Interior Design courses at Glendale Community College in Arizona for 10 yrs. and Front Range Community College in Ft. Collins, Colorado for 5 years.
Connie has been owner and designer for Gomez Interiors in AZ, Carriage House Designs, Ltd in Denver, Colorado. She established Su Casa Encantada in November of 2021 after returning to the Phoenix area. The company offers designer wreaths, décor and design consultations and assists homeowners with space planning. Connie is a firm believer "everyone deserves good design". Size and budget should not hinder anyone from having an efficient functional home that brings them joy and provides a retreat from the very busy world in which we live.
